Broken!!!

I know this my first post in over 2 weeks but I've been busy. First of all is baseball. I've been soooooooo busy because of games, practices, and umpiring Cade's games. Now you are wondering what my title has to do with this. Well..........I broke my wrist.
My first break ever. I have a buckle break on my radius bone. I was at the U of A baseball game on the 16th and around 9:30 I was sliding down the grass hills. That's when I stumbled back, put my left hand back to catch myself, and broke it. Now here's where the "Parent of the Year" award comes in. We didn't go to the hospital till 24 hours later. We maybe thought it was a bad sprain and iced it all night. The following day( Sunday, which was stake conference) I rested it and iced it a lot. That night we had a SED with the bishopric. After that at around 8:30 my dad and I went to St. Josephs Hospital for an X-Ray. Then we found out it WAS broken and got a splint and sling. On Wednesday the 20th, I went to Southwest Hands for a hard cast. I got the color red. I let people sign it, a lot of people. If you get 40 plus signatures on it, that must mean your a pretty popular guy right?
Well this really stinks because I miss the baseball tournament and AllStars. I also have to keep it on during scout camp. Above all, this happened right before my 13th birthday. I will have it off before we maybe visit for 4th of July.

Have you broken a bone???

Me on May 18th.
 Welcome to being a teenager!
Happy Birthday!

Happy Mothers Day!!

Well this morning I woke up and started playing my new computer game I bought the previous day. The game is called Age of Empires 3 and it cost 30 bucks. It is drastically addicting. So about an hour later Leah comes in and says ," Its Mother's Day!" Right then I'm like Oh No! Good thing Mom was still asleep, its like 8am now, and I rushed downstairs to the kitchen. I immediately start cooking french toast. So I crack the eggs into a pie glass and dip in the bread. After that I plopped them onto the pan and let them cook. When they were finished, I retrieved the "untouched for 6 months" huge plastic plate and washed it. After putting the french toast on, I cooked some ham slices real fast and put them on the plate also. Meanwhile I tell Cade to peel an orange. I make some orange juice super duper quick and pour a glass of ice cold OJ. By then Cade is done with the orange and we pick out the best 5 peeled oranges. They're needed to be one more thing in the last empty space. So I looked in the fridge and grabbed strawberry yogurt and squeezed it onto the plastic plate. I squished a perfect amount of Syrup onto the french toast, which is still warm along with the ham, and got a spoon and fork. All this happened withing 15 minutes. All the kids came upstairs and went into Mom's room, opened the curtains and yelled ,''Surprise!" My mom woke up kinda confused but smiled as she saw the breakfast. She commented that it was her first breakfast in bed. We talked for a few minutes and then I hurried downstairs and cleaned up. Well, despite Mom's awesome breakfast, the kids got cereal. After that I went to playing Age of Empires again for another 2 hours. Then I came downstairs and found Dad watching Youtube. I highly recommend watching Brian Reagen the comedian, especially "The Spelling Bee" and " Little League". They are like LOL ROFL!! Following that I got ready for church. When i came downstairs 20 minutes later i find out that our neighbor dropped off a dozen doughnuts, but Moxie and Merry ate them. After church we went to Grandma Powell's house for dinner. We had Chuy's Big Family Pack which included rice, beans, coleslaw and like 10 pounds of chicken. When the family arrived back home, I gave Mom some homemade coupons. The coupon's included back and foot massages, babysitting, and Cooking dinner from preparation to cleaning. Then I did some homework and started to write this.
Happy Mother's Day to all mothers everywhere!
P.S.
This is my longest post ever!!!

April showers bring May flowers... not in Tucson

Hey! I thought I should make my first post in May. As almost all of you know that my Birthday is the 18th (That is just a hint). Some of the things I like include cash, gift cards, the Dallas Cowboys and video games. Please note I have a 7 week break so I'll be needing some money( hint hint).  These are the things that i spent my 120 dollars on last year:

Scooter: the 50$ bill
Scout equipment: 20 dollars
Scout camp: 20 bucks, for the soda/candy that I needed to survive
Stuff from Fry's: about 30$

Yep that is it. Please make checks out to Seth Powell.
By now you have probably noticed my title is totally off topic of what I wrote.

My Nerdy Ways

Straight A's this quarter, as always. My grades are as follows:

Language Arts: A~~ 94%
Algebra 1: A+ ~~ 99%
Reading: A~~ 94%
Science: A+ ~~ 111%
Social Studies: A ~~ 96%
Spelling: A+ ~~ 100%
Penmanship: A+ ~~ 103%
Homework: A+ ~~ 100%

Please note I am in 7th grade doing Algebra 1 which is freshman/sophmore math.

Yes I know I am smartical, nerdy, geeky and all that but getting good grades is easy. All you have to do is actually do your homework and turn it in on time. Plus, common sense helps a lot. Tell Taylor I can tutor him in his math if he needs the help, LOL.
My 15-page report is coming along well. It is required to be 2250 words so people can't cheat. I have done 350 words so far and I only spent a hour on it. Another thing has come up again. I have a 100 point page report in science due the same day as my research paper.
My book report and my other science paper were finished very easily and I'm positive I got a good grade considering looking at other peoples.

When I'm done with my research paper, I'll copy & paste it so you guys can read it.

Homework OverLoad!!

My teacher just announced last week we have a 15- page report due in 3 weeks. It is supposed to be a Historic Novella based on a certain time period. I chose WW2 from 1941, Pearl Harbor, til 1945, the bombing of Hiroshima.

My story is going to be about Paul Tibbets, the guy who dropped the bomb on Japan's central military base. It is going to start out when Japan attacks Pearl Harbor and his best friend dies.
Then I am going to write about important battles and how Tibbets becomes the one to bomb Hiroshima. This project is worth 1/4 of my social studies grade and 1/2 my writing grade!

On the same day my science teacher said there is a 3-page report  on a science article due in a week. That won't be too hard because I have done many of them( plus I cheat a little, I double space my lines and use 15 font).

I also have a 2 page book report due in a week talking about how my character emotional and physically matures. My book is Brisingr and my character is going to be Eragon. It should'nt be that hard, can it? Along with that, I need a diorama showing an important event in the book.

Yep. Thats just me being awesome and surviving the end of 7th grade. What do you remember about the 7th grade?
